Sedmi album grupe The National zove se "Sleep Well Beast" i bit će objavljen 9. septembra.
Novi album broji dvanaest pjesama. Prvi singl "The System Only Dreams in Total Darkness" dobio i pripadajući videospot.
Pjesme su snimljene u New Yorku, Berlinu, Parizu i Los Angelesu.
Ove jeseni i zime The National će biti na velikoj svjetskoj turneji.
